FEAR is Its Own Punishment–Until God Judges the Fearful

FEAR is, at its core, a DISBELIEF in the Word of God.

Which is a BIG reason why FEAR is judged so harshly by God.

During the end times, MANY have mistakenly placed their faith in MAN and the schemes of man–particularly man’s GOVERNMENT–to see them through any rough times in the future.

But MANY have an unshakable feeling their faith in man and the schemes of man is misplaced.  Otherwise, why would they fear the very institutions in which they have placed their faith will FAIL them?

God’s Word warns man of his misplaced fear.

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD…

I’m not successful

I read a good essay at The Master’s University site this morning. It’s a summary of Nathan Busenitz’s chapel sermon called “What Does it Mean to be Successful?“

“Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. A closer look at the Human Soul

Over the years, in several articles, I’ve only touched on the definition of the human soul. In this paper I will attempt to throw more light on the subject.

Only when God breathed the breath of life (from His Spirit) into man did he (man) become a living soul. This implies that without the spirit part – the spirit into man released from the God-Spirit (part of God Himself) – man would have had no consciousness as a living entity. He would have remained (probably, prostrate on the ground) as a human corpse, but not as one that ever lived. Therefore, in the case of the first man on the planet it was a matter of no spirit, no soul.

It seems clear that the God-given spirit within the first man is what empowered every atom and molecule within his physical body enabling him to commence life as an individual human life form fully conscious of his existence.  After all, God is life itself and this was imparted to Adam in that breath of life, making him a God-image man. It is man’s God-given spirit that “cranked” him up to become a living soul.

Unlike Adam, who only received his spirit (and became a living soul) as a grown man, all people after Adam and Eve are fully equipped with spirit and soul at conception and are born with but a rudimentary degree of development as a living soul.

Man’s soul may be regarded as a daily academic journal of his thoughts, words and actions as a conscious, individual human creature – all made possible by his spirit. So the human soul actually forms part of man’s spirit, for without the spirit there would be no soul. In essence, the spirit is the residential address of the soul. One could say that man’s spirit and soul are two parts of a whole. They will never part company, from here to eternity – whether in heaven or in hell.

“Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein.” Isaiah 42:5

In the above-quoted verse the “breath unto the people” does not refer to the “breath of life” that God “breathed” into man in the Garden of Eden. The “breath of life” was the life-giving power that fired up man’s lungs to start taking in air (“breath unto”) for the purpose of sustaining his physical body. The “spirit to them that walk therein” is what defines the “breath of life”. The spirit is the heart, the very core, of man in his entirety as a living human creature. It provides him with life and enables him to function physically.

The soul of man is an exposé of the content of his spirit. This content of the spirit reflects man’s personality, character, education, knowledge, experience, intellect, wisdom, emotions, memory and as already pointed out – a daily academic journal of man’s thoughts, words and actions as a conscious, individual human creature. Having said that, it is not the soul that exhibits inner emotions and neither does the soul stir up memories. It is the mind of the spirit that performs this function.

The Bible speaks of a troubled spirit; an anguished spirit; a jealous spirit; a hardened spirit; a sorrowful spirit; a contrite spirit; a broken spirit; a steadfast spirit; a hasty spirit; a provoked spirit; a haughty spirit; a humble spirit; a vexed spirit; a patient spirit; a proud spirit; a heavy spirit; a joyful spirit and many more expressions to do with emotions.

We see from this that it is the spirit of man that holds title to man’s emotions and is also the storage vault of the memory files of the soul. The human spirit has a component that is in charge of all spiritual operations. This component is the mind of the spirit, the chief executive officer of the spirit, one could say.

The mind of one’s spirit deliberates and makes decisions based on the condition of the spirit and will act out what it finds through words and bodylanguage. The mind of the spirit and the spirit are as one. They are bosom buddies. When the Bible says, “… be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Rom. 12:2) it means that you, your spirit with its soul content, should be transformed to a righteous state by an act of the mind of your spirit. The mind, therefore, plays an executive role, hence, “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;” (Eph 4:23)

The words that come out of your mouth are the words that your mind decided upon.  When the mind of your spirit speaks, it simultaneously instructs your brain to open your mouth so that the words of your spirit may be formed and heard. You get to know someone by what comes out of their mouth.

You are a walking, talking spirit. Your brain is but the amplifier switch of the word of your spirit.

We see then, that you are a mind-controlled living soul and that you would not have been a living soul had it not been for God’s breath of life within you. Your soul, activated by your spirit, is your identity inclusive of your spirit and body. You are known, inclusive of all three, as a living human creature called man.

Your soul counts as a “unit” of spiritual life. Your soul is the overall representation of you in spirit, mind, word and body. You are “counted” as a soul, such as in a census of human population. God counts you as either a saved or lost soul.

In Ezekiel 18:4 we read that “…the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” After death a sinful man can no longer sin, but he lives on in a certain place (hell) as a consequence of his sinful nature.

Now let’s take a look at Matt. 22:37. “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”

The above verse gives the impression that the heart (spirit), the soul and the mind are capable of independent functionality. However, it stands to reason that a corrupt soul will have as its companions an equally corrupt spirit and mind, for the three actually operate in synergy with each other. Let’s put it this way. If you (your spirit and soul) are to be transformed “by the renewing of your mind”, then it certainly signifies that all three need to be pure in their love for God. You can give mental (mindful) assent to loving God, but in your heart and soul you fake that love. This means that not only is your mind, as “executive officer”, a liar, but that your mind is also lying on behalf of your spirit and soul.

The Default Destination can be avoided

AVOID THE DEFAULT DESTINATION
It has been said that the two most important days of a man’s life are the day on which he was born and the day on which he discovers why he was born.
Here’s clarity on the importance of these two days:

THE DAY YOU WERE BORN
“Thus says God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which comes out of it; he that gives breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein.” (Isaiah 42:5)

WHY YOU WERE BORN
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment.” (Mark 12:30)

Jesus talked about hell more than any other person in the Bible to warn against the absolute reality of hell. God does not send us to hell. Hell is our default destination should we resist or reject what Jesus did on the cross.

Hell is a place of eternal torment (Luke 16:23), of unquenchable fire (Mark 9:43),), where people will gnash their teeth in anguish and regret (Matt. 13:42), and from which there is no return, even to warn loved ones (Luke 16:19–31).

The Renewal of your Mind can save you from the Default Destination
“And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Rom. 12:2)

UNFORTUNATELY, WE MISTAKENLY BELIEVE WE KNOW BETTER
“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” (Rom. 12:3)

DO THE RIGHT THING – RECEIVE JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR

The Reality of Spiritual Warfare on Planet Earth.

It pays to expand one’s horizon by delving deep into biblical truths; one does so by relentless study and research. It is now vividly clear to the writer, more so than ever before, that the world we live in is constantly under the protection of a loving God while our adversary is simultaneously endeavouring to steal, kill and destroy the very fabric of what God has created and sustained from the very beginning of our existence as human beings.

From the outset I want to make it clear that God takes responsibility for evil but does not impose it. When it is stated in the Bible that God “creates” or “sends” evil it does not mean that He literally destroys and kills those who do not follow His will, but rather that those who choose not to obey actually bring evil upon themselves at the point where God finally removes His protection. In other words, people reap the consequences of their defiant pursuit of God-opposing activities.

Our adversary, the devil, who seeks whom he may “devour”, can only commence to devour once God removes His protection either entirely or partially from those with hardened hearts towards God’s call on their lives. We see an example of this in the life of Job, but in the case of Job it was not a matter of rebellion. Job was a God-fearing man living within the protective “hedge” of God and for this reason Satan could not touch him. Note what happened when that protective hedge was removed. Satan stirred up the hearts of his human agents to attack, kill Job’s children and servants and plunder his livestock. We also see that Satan and his fallen angelic forces were able to bring about fire and wind for destructive purposes. Later Satan inflicted Job with boils all over his body, proving that Satan is the source of sickness and disease. “In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” (Job 1:22)

God’s love for his human creation is so great that He would rather die should it mean the saving of human lives. And He did just that; He took on human flesh, lived among us and then gave His life for our redemption from destruction and deliverance from sickness and disease.

All the faithful, like Job, make up the seed (wheat) planted by God and all those who rebel against and reject God make up the seed (tares) planted by Satan. They both grow together on this earth until the harvest at a predetermined time when the tares will be gathered into bundles for fiery judgment and the wheat be drawn to the bosom of God, thereby ending Satan’s corruption of the human race.

Now let’s fast forward to the present day and pay a visit to the land of America to observe the wheat (seed of God) and the tares (seed of Satan) as they go about their business of growing together until the harvest. What do we see?

We see the overgrown tares of Satan strangling the wheat of God. The abominations that anger God are openly being flaunted in the face of God, so much so that that the killing of unborn children is legalised and the Gay Pride flag is flown at all U.S. Embassies by executive order of the Captain of the American ship. Moreover, young schoolchildren are now being pushed to question their own gender qualities and made to understand that an option to change gender exists for them. And as if this is not enough, more tares (hundreds of thousands of the moon god and sun god kind) are being allowed to stream into America to make it their home and breeding ground for more tares.

How did all of this evolve to the point where God is on the fringe of removing his hedge of protection and giving the leadership of America exactly what they have striven for? Satan is about to be given full carte blanche over the lives of the American people. Satan has already been given partial permission to impose his will on America. We see it in the supernatural weather disasters (called ‘climate change’) as seen in the days of Job and in the plagues (such as Covid 19) engineered by Satan through his human protégés, such as the likes of Dr. Anthony Fauci and company who are working feverishly to get rid of the wheat on behalf of Satan’s Luciferian body of believers in human form.

America was founded by both the wheat and the tares. The tares were responsible for the inclusion of the ‘freedom of religion’ clause in the Constitution so as to ensure the establishment of man-made religions and pagan worship and for the wall of ‘separation of church and state’ so as to ensure rebellion against the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We see, therefore, that the seed of Satan has been sprouting tares by order of the Constitution of the United States of America.

When America – the most powerful nation in the world – speaks, the whole world listens and follows suit should it be required to do so, hence the ‘freedom of religion’ feature found in the constitutions of virtually every country in the world. Satan has had a field day over centuries gone by and is ready for grabbing God’s permissive will with both hands. Satan has but a short time and he is in the starting blocks for when God’s patience comes to an end and He lets America and the rest of the world receive what they’ve been asking for – the wrath of Satan.

So we see then that were it not for God’s protection over the human race up to this point in time, no human being would be left standing on this planet. Soon – very soon – God will be testing all the Job-like faithful (wheat) in the world, but affording them protection by His mark while the world at large faces the consequences of their desire to opt for the fares of Satan.

Be drawn to God or remain dead while you live.

Have you ever wondered how it is possible for you to get into your car, turn on the engine, and drive off? It’s really very simple. The only reason why you are able to do so is because the very Life of God is in you. It is called the Breath of Life. The Breath of Life is not the air that you breathe into your lungs. Without the Breath of Life you will not be able to breathe air into your lungs. The Breath of Life is the very Life within God imparted to you so that you may function as a living soul or living human being.

Now you should also know how it is possible for you to eat, drink, party, use foul language, tell dirty jokes – and simply just be alive to go to sleep at night and wake up the next morning to continue doing what you always do. You are doing all these things because the Life of God in you enables you to do so. To reiterate, you are using God’s Breathe of Life in you to do your own thing and not to do what God wants you to do.

And do you know why God does not remove His Breath of Life from you even though you reject Him or only give a degree of mental assent to Him? It is called the Grace of God. It is God’s gift to you for the purpose of giving you the opportunity to change your mind about God. Changing your mind about God is called repentance. Basically, this means that you finally understand that without God you have no life and that you can do nothing without Him.

You need to understand also that without repentance you are dead while you live. You have a spirit within you, which is the real you and which you have and are as a result of that very Breath of Life  within you, which God allows you to retain, but in the eyes of God you are classified as a spiritually dead person, that is, you are spiritually separated from Him – therefore, you are dead while you live.

You are a spirit living in and through a physical body. God is a Spirit and He is not subject to death. He lives eternally. Since you have part of Him in you, you also cannot cease to exist. Your existence as a spiritual being continues after your physical body succumbs due to sickness, accident or crime. Should you not have repented while still inside your physical body here on earth you will continue your existence in a place called hell – which is the eternal destination for all who are spiritually separated from God. Your nature of sin will have taken you there. In other words, your decision not to repent (have a complete change of mind concerning God) would also have been a decision to continue your existence in hell. Simply put, you will have done it all by yourself. Hell is as real as you consider yourself to be real.

How do you draw yourself to God? Well, firstly, you need to understand that God is real and that you exist only because He exists. You also need to realise that you are already condemned as a consequence of your nature of sin. This is why you are dead while you live. You need to be reconciled to God and the only way you can do that is to perform an act of faith. God’s Grace enables you to do that. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Eph. 2:8,9)

The quoted Scripture makes it absolutely clear that you can do nothing to earn redemption; your redemption comes purely as a gift because of God’s Grace alone and you have to accept that by faith. God has even given you the necessary faith to do so. “…God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” (Romans 12:3

So, you have to take that measure of faith and approach the Son of God who said, “… I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

Only by Jesus can you be reconciled to God and overturn your spiritually dead condition. You will, in effect, be born again to start a brand new life. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2Cor. 5:17)

All you need to do is stand before Jesus and say a prayer.

“Dear Lord Jesus, I now fully understand that I am a sinner. Please forgive me. I believe that you took the penalty for my sin nature by dying on the cross in my place and that you rose from the dead on the third day so that I may also live again with your gift of eternal life. I now receive you as my Lord and Saviour and ask that you would take control of my life. Amen.”

If you said that prayer with a sincere heart, then you are indeed born again and can expect blessings in every area of your life, for you are now considered to be a child of your Father in heaven. You even possess much stronger faith – that of Jesus Christ.

And the next time you start your car engine and drive off you will be fully conscious of the fact that the Life of God within you enables you to do so.

Your SPIRIT and your SOUL are joined at the hip.

There is a COMPUTER DATABASE located deep inside your SPIRIT. Everything you’ve ever experienced in your own life – your memories, emotions, thoughts, words, deeds and knowledge from education – is stored here.  

All of this is referred to as your SOUL – also known as your BOOK OF LFE.

Your SPIRIT has a bosom buddy – a COMPUTER SERVER.

The TASK of your spirit’s computer server is to do a rapid search and retrieval of information.

The name of your spirit’s COMPUTER SERVER is the MIND of your SPIRIT.

Your spirit’s inseparable TASK MASTER, the MIND of your SPIRIT, searches your SOUL and retrieves information, but decides and whether or not to process that information in the form of WORDS – to hurt or to please –  through your MOUTH to the SOULS of fellow human beings.

The MIND of your SPIRIT is at work day and night searching and retrieving in preparation of WHAT to process and to WHOM.

However, there is a fly on the wall in your SPIRIT – watching and listening to the actions of the MIND of your SPIRIT. This fly, therefore, has full access to the content of your SOUL (your BOOK OF LIFE) and the deliberations of the MIND of your SPIRIT.

This fly on the wall is the SPIRIT of GOD – constantly bearing a MESSAGE to the MIND of your SPIRIT.

The message reads, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Rom. 12:2)

At the end of your SOUL’s stopover on Planet Earth, another BOOK OF LIFE will be opened. This BOOK OF LIFE belongs to GOD. This BOOK OF LIFE will reflect whether or not the MIND of your SPIRIT heeded the MESSAGE.

If the message was heeded, your NAME will be found in that BOOK OF LIFE.

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Rev. 20:11-15)

May the MIND of your SPIRIT heed that message and do “that good, and acceptable” thing.
